Hi, I’m Emma Bäcker-Håkonsen (Emma Backer) – a Norwegian artist inspired by the ocean, nature, mythology and the emotional connection between humans and the wild.

My artistic journey began in childhood, but it was through life by the water that EBH Arts found its identity. What started with fishing-inspired artwork has gradually grown into a larger creative universe shaped by the sea, Nordic landscapes, old stories and the fascination for the unknown.

Through hand-painted illustrations and fine art prints, I aim to capture atmosphere, emotion and presence — from quiet moments on the water to dark forests, mythical worlds and life beneath the surface.

Based in Norway, EBH Arts creates art for those who feel drawn to nature, mystery and the worlds that exist just beyond the visible.
